Volunteer

Family Promise of the Main Line seeks volunteers for the following areas on a regular basis:

Volunteer at a Host Congregation:
Volunteers are needed 365 days a year at our host congregations from 6:00 p.m. in the evening to 6:30 a.m. the next morning. The time you spend with the families has an immediate and lasting impact on our families. As a volunteer you can cook and serve meals, play and read with children, lend a listening ear, and help our families feel loved and safe.

Become a Host or Support Congregation:
We are always in need of additional host and support congregations.

Host congregations work together to provide safe, temporary housing and meals for our families. Each host congregation houses the homeless families for 1 week at a time, several times per year. Their community of volunteers make this happen by providing the cooked meals, child care, and companionship for our families every evening and overnight.

Our support congregations, although they do not provide housing for our families, they do provide additional volunteers, meals, and funds to support our host congregations.

Help with a Fund Raising Event:
FPML holds our signature fundraising event in the spring and benefits from the volunteer support of the community. If you would like to help plan or simply attend an event, please contact us.
