Introducing Family Promise of the Main Line

helping homeless families find homesDear Friends,

For the last year, you have heard us announce that Interfaith Hospitality Network of the Main Line (IHN-ML) would be changing our name. The time has finally arrived! As of July 1, 2022, our new name will be Family Promise of the Main Line. Family Promise is the leading national organization addressing family homelessness, and IHN-ML has been a Family Promise affiliate for 30 years. With this name change, we are strengthening that relationship to benefit children and families experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.

You might have some questions.

Why are we changing? Adopting the Family Promise name will allow us to take advantage of Family Promise’s national profile to better serve the families in our programs. It will open doors in fundraising and in advocating on behalf of families. It will allow us to draw on the expertise of hundreds of other Family Promise affiliates to make our programs as effective as possible.

What’s not changing? We remain committed to working with the community—with people of all faiths, ages, races, ethnicities, and origins—to ensure that children and families can access the shelter and comprehensive support they need to become self-sufficient. While “interfaith” may no longer be part of our organizational name, our emergency shelter program will be known as Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) Emergency Shelter Program. “Interfaith” is, and always will be, vital to who we are.

We’re so grateful for your past contributions. As we look forward to this next step in our evolution, which will help us put more families on the road to independence, we hope you’ll continue that support.
